The TaN (tantalum nitride) film is a moisture impervious tantalum pentoxide barrier layer that can against high relative humidity. TaN is much robust withstand high humidity with voltage applied than NiCr. It can pass thousands biased humidity testing at 85 °C /85% relative humidity . it produces a very stable, protective oxide layer, an ideal choice for a wide range of applications requiring precision resistors with long term stability, reliability, and critical environmental.
